Buying and selling property is often referred to as ‘conveyancing’, which is the process by which legal title to property is transferred from one party to another.
There are two parallel conveyancing systems:
- the unregistered conveyancing system; and
- the registered conveyancing system.
Dealing with your property will depend on whether your property is registered at the Land Registry.
We have extensive experience of both systems and will guide you through the often-perceived complex process in straightforward language without using jargon.
We will be proactive and act promptly at every stage and do our utmost to keep transactions moving forward. We will update you regularly to let you know what is happening - even if there may, at times, be little or no progress to report.
We will make sure you are always fully in the picture about all aspects of your sale and/or purchase and will advise you what the next steps will be once contracts are exchanged and completion has happened.
We have good local knowledge, which we can also use to your advantage.
Our accreditation with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme demonstrates our commitment to working co-operatively and collaboratively with other key stakeholders – lenders, estate agents and other solicitors - to ensure that your transaction proceeds efficiently and smoothly.
